TRAINING & CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMS
FOR THE NEW GREEN ECONOMY
While we all know that staff training enhances knowledge, skills and competencies, savvy business owners are also incorporating capacity building into the qualification mix.
Also known as capacity development, capacity building focuses on understanding the obstacles that prevent people and organisations from fully realising their developmental goals. Furthermore, capacity building also enhances the abilities that will allow them to achieve measurable and sustainable results.
EC3 Global in partnership with
One Step Further offer training programs to assist travel and tourism businesses and staff to understand and apply sustainability in their operations. The programs deliver skills and knowledge to develop and implement sustainability policy, actions and strategies for their operations and drive change for more sustainable outcomes.
These units of competency are nationally accredited and upon successful completion of the assessment, participants receive a Statement of Attainment.
"The transition to the new green economy is already underway,"
Stewart Moore, CEO of EC3 Global said. "One of the immediate challenges for existing business is to understand what skills and capacity building is needed to prepare existing employees for this new economic opportunity.
"In its simplest expression, a green economy can be thought of as low carbon, resource efficient and socially responsible," he said. "An understanding of sustainability principles and practices will become a new core competence across all organisations.
EarthCheck is working with University and industry training providers to develop real world courses to prepare frontline and management staff for this transition."
